Where it all started
Safeture was founded in 2009, after Professor of Medicine and longtime entrepreneur Lars Lidgren had firsthand experience with disaster relief in the SARS epidemic, Indian Ocean tsunami, and Mumbai terror attacks.
He realized that vital information sent directly to the person affected by an incident is absolutely crucial. Now made possible by the paradigm shift in mobile communication.
With the help of world-leading technology and several important patents, a completely new platform for employee safety was created. Unifying communication, information and location.

2003
SARS epidemic
The outbreak was first identified in Guangdong, China. Over 8,000 people from 29 different countries and territories were infected, and over 774 died worldwide. The major part of the outbreak lasted about eight months.
2009
GWS Production AB is founded
2014
Nasdaq First North, Stockholm
The company is listed on the important stock trading, Nasdaq First North, Stockholm.
2015
New office in Kuala Lumpur
The company grows in the East with establishment in Asia for sales and analysis.
2016
New office in Sao Paulo
The company establishes an office in South America and an grows an important team of analysts.
2018

2019
GWS becomes Safeture
GWS changes its name from cumbersome Global Warning System Aktiebolag to Safeture.
2019
Safeture Enterprise is introduced
The open platform allows clients to adopt specific internal processes and integrate it with external suppliers, such as assistance providers or other software, including internal employment databases or intranets.
2020
Coronavirus pandemic
The disease was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China. The World Health Organization declared the outbreak a Public Health Emergency of International Concern on 30 January 2020 and an official pandemic on 11 March 2020.
