Where it all started
Safeture was founded in 2009, after Professor of Medicine and longtime entrepreneur Lars Lidgren had firsthand experience with disaster relief in the SARS epidemic, Indian Ocean tsunami, and Mumbai terror attacks. He realized that vital information sent directly to the person affected by an incident is absolutely crucial in order to prevent harm and save lives.

SARS epidemic
The outbreak was first identified in Guangdong, China. Over 8,000 people from 29 different countries and territories were infected, and over 774 died worldwide. The major part of the outbreak lasted about eight months.

GWS Production AB is founded

Nasdaq First North, Stockholm
The company is listed on the important stock trading, Nasdaq First North, Stockholm.

New office in Stockholm
2019
GWS becomes Safeture
GWS changes its name from cumbersome Global Warning System Aktiebolag to Safeture.
2019
New Head Quarter in Lund
Safeture is moving to completely new and larger premises in central Lund. Close communications to Copenhagen Airport.

Coronavirus and Open up for business by Safeture
The disease was first identified in December 2019 in Wuhan, China and the World Health Organization declared an official pandemic on 11 March 2020.
Safeture created www.openupforbusiness.com, a free service to help people, companies, and organizations open up for business again, providing reliable information to help them make the right decisions.

Safeture opens a new office in the Netherlands.
The office works mainly on the markets in the Netherlands and Belgium but also has responsibility for a growing market in Australia and parts of Asia.
