Safeture AB is a global SaaS company at the forefront in personal security and the company is headquartered in Lund with sales offices in Stockholm, UK, Austria, the Netherlands and analysis offices in Brazil and Malaysia. The company was founded in 2009 after experience from two global SARS epidemics, the tsunami in the Indian Ocean in 2004 and the terrorist attack in Mumbai in 2008.

Safeture has 3,500 customers with users in 190 countries that are supported by 47 employees spanning technicians, sales & marketing, analysis and administration. The total order value grew 400% last year and ARR 40%.

Over the past two years, Safeture has made a successful transformation from an IT company to a full-fledged SaaS company. Much focus has been on developing an international sales and marketing organization and sharpening the company´s overall offering and sales strategy. At the beginning of the year, Safeture welcomed a new important investor and the company is now taking the next step on the growth journey by appointing an important key person, the Commercial Director.

The role as Commercial Director

The new Commercial Director is a committed leader, passionate about creating growth, developing global sales and increase profitability. The role involves responsibility for results and personnel for the Sales department including marketplaces and online sales. The Commercial Director reports to the CEO Magnus Hultman and is part of the management team.

The overall responsibility for sales is divided into the following four segments and the new Commercial Director will need to be well acquainted with each business logic and at the same time ensure the total sales with strategic height.

  • Direct sales: Inbound / Outbound sales, standardized products
  • Enterprise sales, complex deals
  • Partner led sales
  • Post-sales, customer development and the customer journey

The main focus area is to drive, manage and increase international sales by expanding the international customer base, deepening existing collaborations and generating new revenue by coaching and enthusing team members. It also involves a stronger focus on solutions and profitability. The work will include everything from strategic to operational commitments where relationship-building skills and engagement will be clear success factors. Furthermore, the Commercial Director will initially act as KAM and engagement manager for the larger customers. To succeed in the role, a holistic commercial perspective is required as one is expected to set the strategies and streamline the sales processes in order to become more profitable.

As the company is entrepreneurial and under strong expansion, the role places high demands on clear and honest leadership with the ability to drive, motivate and enthuse the various team members. The Commercial Director’s personal qualities, including leadership and business acumen, will play a major role in the success of the assignment.

Professional profile;

  • Academic degree or equivalent
  • At least 5 years of well-documented commercial management experience with advantage from the SaaS environment
  • Well-documented commercial experience of SaaS solutions or other IT solutions
  • Good technical ability
  • Language: good English in speech and writing
